Cedar Roses

I was at Foothills Elementary School in grade 2 class today.  My mentor had Haida Gwaii art on her desk and I had to take a picture of it.  The teacher could make a lesson on cedar rose making.  I really want to know how to make beautiful cedar roses.  Does anyone know of any artist who teaches how to make cedar roses?  I rather take learn from someone rather than learning it from Google.

    Those are beautiful Dolores! I've never seen cedar roses before--do they smell fantastic too?

    That's a good question. I am not sure if cedar roses have a smell to it, maybe when they first make the roses...I'm just guessing.

    I hope someone can teach you - I agree that having a person show you something is preferable to learning from a YouTube video - but if no person is avaiable, aren't we luckyy to have an alternate way?
